This classic Lambretta was brought to Excel Colour Print to create an eye-catching Kill Bill themed design for a vinyl wrap. The Lambretta lends itself to the theme, as was already a bright yellow in colour. This meant that any graphics had to match the existing body work. Excel Colour Print did a colour match on the yellow itself, to ensure the printed design was blended seamlessly with the Lambretta, ensuring a more striking finished wrap.
The design was created by Excel Colour Prints skilled team of vehicle graphic designers based on the supplied brief. The main characters were positioned around the Lambretta panels, and highlights of blood splatters were used to give the design a dynamic and quirky finish. When designing any vinyl wrap, it is important to us that every customer is completely happy with the design. Our designs are based on your brief and ideas, and we can make as many alterations to the design that you require.
Once the customer was happy with the design, the Lambretta was prepared for it’s vinyl wrap to be applied. Each panel was carefully removed from the Lambretta before being cleaned for the wrap. It is important when adding a vinyl wrap to any surface that it is free from dust, or other debris, to ensure a smooth finish and a vinyl wrap that will last.
Once clean, the vinyl was carefully positioned over each panel, smoothed down and then set and cut. This technique applies heat to the vinyl itself, to allow it to bend around curvatures and create a seamless finish. The edges are then trimmed, ensuring that the finished design covers the whole motorcycle, without any obvious edges.
When the panels were vinyl wrapped, they were fitted back onto the bike. The finished design is getting the owner noticed around the local Nottingham and Derby areas.
